I am a traditional quilter who has found joy in working with contemporary fabrics. Traditional patterns have found new life in Indonesian batiks, and African and Australian fabrics, to name a few. I also like the look of scrap quilts when used in a pattern that is usually seen with consistent fabric choices. I have found that making scrap quilts gives me a fighting chance against the "wanderlust" of quilters (also known as the UFO syndrome).
