My Country ‘Tis of Thee
Challenge Reveal - Nov 12th @ 10:00
Since 2026 is the Semi-quincentennial of the United States of America, it is time to celebrate America!
The challenge this year is to create a quilt that celebrates America and is:
No larger than 250 inches in perimeter. (62.5 x 62.5 x.62.5 62.5)
Must contain at least 1 star
Must contain at least 1 stripe
Must contain some red, white and blue
Must contain one word that expresses what America means to you
Must contain “2026” some place on the quilt
Quilt must be an actual quilt…three layers and quilted in any fashion.
At the November 12, 2026 meeting you will deliver your challenge quilt in a brown paper bag with no identification on the bag or quilt.
Have fun and think positively about our wonderful country which is an experiment in democracy like no other in the world.
