June Postcard Workshop

  • Dewey's Studio 215 Joycliff Circle Macon, GA, 31211 United States (map)

It’s fun and it’s fabulous! One of the things we will offer at the 2026 Quilt Show is a selection of handmade, quilted notecards with envelopes. These are easy to make and so, so cute! We envision selling individual cards and packs of 5 (think: invitation packs, Christmas cards, etc.). The asking price is still being decided–feel free to offer suggestions as we sew.

With that in mind, we’re having a Notecard Workshop on June 19 at Dewey’s studio (215 Joycliff Circle) from 10:00 – 3:00. We’ll each bring a lunch, enjoy a day of creativity, and learn a new gift idea for our friends! Put this date on your calendar now. Please come and join the fun! I guarantee you’ll have a wonderful day!

Things to Bring: Sack lunch and drink Snacks to share (if you want to–will someone please bring chocolate?) Sewing machine (zig-zag stitch required) Scrap thin cotton batting cut into approximately 5”x7” rectangles Panels, material suitable for fussy-cutting, orphans blocks, applique motifs, and scraps White thread for zig-zagging around the edge. Other items are a variety of thread for compiling the fabric front, general sewing notions – scissors, pins, etc. Ruler, small cutting mat, and rotary cutter (with blade for cutting fabric sewn to paper).
